Happy Hump Day Everyone! Halfway through the week! Today we have a wonderful song that’s perfect for a movie scene where they are leaving the country and going solo backpacking off in other areas to find themselves. They could be leaving due to a breakup, a death in the family, or the realization that the boring 9-5 job isn’t what they wanted to do. And so they set off, and this would be the song you’d hear. Appropriately, this is what Maggie Rogers did. She left, went to Alaska, hiking in the mountains, and then this masterpiece was produced.

Saw the vid of Pharrell hearing this for the first time at Maggie’s NYU Master class circling around on TikTok. I swear i’ve seen that vid about 100 times but I just live for his reaction. Imagine Pharrell saying he has no notes for you… LIKE WHAT.
