I meant to post this song yesterday, but forgot because I was traveling for most of the day and hanging out with some friends in the evening. At least there Ain’t Nothing Stoppin’ me from posting it Now hehe 👍 I haven’t talked too much about Disco on bopdrop before, but I’ve always struggled to understand why it maintains such a negative reputation in music still. Those who were around for its sharp rise in popularity also experienced its equally-speedy decline. Our ears were only introduced to Disco for a few brief years… many songs/artists worked very well… others worked very not-so-well. Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now is one of my favorite disco songs. It not only withstands the grueling test of time, but also is simply beautiful from a musical standpoint. The layering of sound and instruments found in this song was seldom repeated as successfully in the disco era. McFadden and Whitehead display incredible technical musicianship as well as the ability to make you get up and groove! 🦧
