another long winded post for you guys but I really like this album… so enjoy? A masterful blend of glitch pop, IDM and shoegaze, ‘Velocity: Design: Comfort’ is an album like no other, something that truly provokes intense emotion in its abrasive malfunctions and angelic vocals. No album can sound so overwhelming and endearing at the same time like this piece can. Straight from the start the intro sends you down this digital wormhole. Its rapidly glitching beat claws at your ears and blindsides you, as you think what have I gotten myself into. Then the storm briefly asides, the abrasiveness stops, and you enter into this domain of calm, courted by an angels warm melody. It’s a perfect opening for the abstract mix of sounds to come, as it sets up its world perfectly.
