So yesterday there was a state fair going on by my house. I decided to go by myself solo which was cute, til you realize it’s pretty awkward going to a fair by yourself. I tried to get on the big Ferris Wheel but when I got to the front I didn’t realize you couldn’t go by yourself and needed a partner. There were two girls my age that had gotten on in front of me and I asked if I could get on with them, they looked me dead in the face and said “hmmmm Nah”. So now I’m awkwardly at the front of the line with a bunch of people waiting looking stupid. As I’m about to walk off a lady with her kids comes up and says “you can ride with us don’t worry” We get on I help her and her newborn and toddler get on and as the ride starts this song plays on the speaker in the background and I start humming it. I then look up and realize she also starts humming it as well and it helped break the ice and we chatted from there til we got off the ride and went our separate ways. s/o Hozier
